My experience at Pro X Motor was disappointing and raised several concerns from the start. I visited the dealership intending to purchase a vehicle outright with no financing, but early in the conversation the salesperson, Jose, stated they do not provide a Carfax report because of a $44 fee, which felt like an immediate red flag. He instead offered to show only limited information on his desktop and spent time trying to sell an extended warranty for $3,000, which I declined. When I asked for a straightforward out-the-door price, the vehicle itself was reasonably priced, but there was an added $3,000 charge for “accessories,†described as bumper-to-bumper paint protection. During negotiation, he said he might reduce it to $1,500 but would need to call “corporate†for approval. When I asked to take the quote with me to compare with other dealerships, he refused. Another employee then joined and gave a different explanation for the added cost, mentioning LoJack instead, creating further inconsistency. While the listing price of the vehicle was honored, the fluctuating and unclear accessory charges—ranging from $1,500 to $3,000—felt excessive and ultimately seemed like a way to increase commission rather than provide real value.
